Are you the one?

We are continuously growing and starting challenging projects in different areas. Together with our local partner, we are starting a new berries production and we are looking for someone to support our production in Portugal. This project is part of SanLucar global blueberry development plan, deploying orchards at different sites in different countries. Thus, you will have wide exchange with other farmers growing this crop and varieties.

As a Production Responsible you will accompany the whole cultivation process, being responsible of the agricultural development of the berries production property. Focusing on developing and promoting best farm practices to increase production yield and enhance farming sustainability.

You will be supported by our berries technical expert as well as the operational management of the entire project, to manage all technical aspects of production for our newly 25 ha blueberry orchard in Sao Joaquim (Portugal) close to Setubal. Then, your daily challenge will be, being responsible of maintaining and developing the field in the best conditions for growing our products.

Your role highlights – your responsibilities

• You will be responsible of maintaining and developing the field in the proper conditions for growing our products.
• You will accompany the whole production process, since seeding until post-harvest.
• You will analyze agronomic parameters in terms of crops, irrigation, fertilizers, etc.
• You will accompany locally the production and campaign development and make recommendations in order to achieve the best results.
• You will assure that the production reaches SL standards and customers requirements.
• You will ensure the safety and quality of all products manufactured on site.
• You will build and maintain strong and effective relationship with production team and support them when required.
• You will be responsible of the production forecast and data analysis
• You will cooperate closely with our quality team aspects regarding post-harvest, quality specs and standards
