Job description

Are you the one?

 

As Agronomist in south Morocco you will provide technical support to SanLucar growers, under the guidance of the technical director of Morocco. You will do the follow up on estimated volumes of berries as well as of the entire season and provide by doing so valuable information for our product and sales managers. You will also be in close contact with the local growers regarding any technical aspects resuming the information in different reports.

Your role highlights – your responsibilities

  • You will regularly visit SL growers (production sites) for technical support
  • You will prepare plants quality reception report to evaluate the imported vegetal material and claim reports for growers that have plant quality problems
  • You will communicate adequate feeding programs and phytosanitary protection programs in coordination with the technical director
  • You will achieve target yields and quality per crop with the allocated list of growers and improve the technical level of some traditional growers
  • You will share knowledge especially on new crops in the region
  • You will propose trials that have the goal to innovate new production cycles and technics to meet the need of market
  • You will prepare and send agronomy reports to the growers after every visit as well as prepare reports for other departments
  • You will monitor KPIs for each crop and try to develop a synthesis and draw conclusions for future improvement.
  • You will coordinate and regularly share information with the other departments through meetings such as Quality, R&D, Logistics, etc.
  • You will prepare, adjust and communicate adequate forecasting files on a weekly basis
  • You will analyze the forecast with the other departments and inform and provide explanation for occurred deviation and foreseen changes

Requirements

  • Higher studies in agricultural engineering, technical agricultural engineering or similar.
  • Good knowledge of English, Spanish is a valued.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position in the fruit & vegetables sector
  • Excellent Communication, written and verbal skills
  • Sense of responsibility and Proactivity
