Job description

Are you a graduate in engineering or similar studies and you're passionate about process improvement and the agri sector?

At Sanlucar we are passionate about offering the best fruit & vegetables to our customers all year round. We have been revolutionising the world of fruit for over 30 years and we want you to help us with the exciting challenge of accompanying and overseeing the whole cultivation process, being responsible of the agricultural development of the production property in Setúbal, Portugal. You will participate on the implementation of the project, ensuring plant growth processes, adopting SanLucar best practices and achieving our productive targets. The project scope covers 50 ha.

To achieve this purpose we are looking for new talents in collaboration with ICEX Vives to support our teams in our Portuguese production sites.

How will you support the teams in achieving this goal?

You will analyze on a daily basis agronomical parameters, in terms of fertilizers, irrigation, phytosanitary program, crops, etc.
You will develop and promote best farm practices to increase production yield and enhance farming sustainability with sustainability programs.
You will accompany the production and campaign development and make recommendations in order to achieve the best results locally.
You will build and maintain a strong and effective relationship with the production team and support them when required.

Requirements

What would we expect from you?

You have a degree in agronomy, agricultural, industrial engineering or similar
You have a medium-high level of English and Spanish
You have some experience working close to the fields, production and product manipulation
You are communicative and you like to collaborate with different teams. You are also analytical and like project planning
You have a minimum of 1 year experience managing teams
You have knowledge of the value chain from origin to the client
Knowledge in quality control regarding the roduct and along the value chain in fruits and vegetables is also valued
Your are proactive and eager to learn and overcome challenges.
You are passionate about the agribusiness world.
