Mission

To continue our growth with success in the Italian market, we are looking for an Operations Dierctor! You purpose will be to strengthen and develop our local commercial activity with a long-term perspective, together with our local team which you will be responsible of.

Role details and responsibilities

Define, develop and implement the commercial strategy and tactics
Develop and manage the client portfolio
Assure and achieve the commercial goals set by the company
Develop and maintain close relationships with selected Italian producers, creating a long-term cooperation perspective with them to offer the best product quality
Be a team developer by motivating, coordinating as well as supporting our local team

Requirements

Education: degree in Economics, Agricultural or Biological Sciences, Agribusiness, Food Technologies or similar
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian; English skills and/or knowledge in other languages are appreciated
Around 5 years of sales and sector experience having managed the sales to the most important clients and/or leading a sales team in the fruit and vegetable sector which gave you the knowledge of the fundamental functionality of the sector:
- Knowledge of numerous customers, processes as well as customs of the trade in fruit and vegetable products in the various distribution channels in the Italian market
- Be familiar with main technical characteristics of at least some of the main fruit and vegetable products and corresponding packaging
- Knowledge of the value chain in relation to the main problems connected to the transfer and conditioning (sampling, conservation, selection, packaging, etc.) of at least some of the main fruit and vegetable products
Very good knowledge of the most common software (Office package, etc.)
High motivation for developing one's own entrepreneurial characteristics thanks to the participation in the development and future business success of the Italian market
